You also have a lot good talk about but I can't prioritize what's worth talking about. I could spend half an hour preparing your repo(?) but I don't know if anybody wants to hear that. I'll probably post stuff about and I guess I'll post some art maybe cos I've been working on little sketches during lunch at work. So I'm I guess I'm making progress with those and I'm making my sketch book be more interesting. So that's good cos I don't normally. I don't know when I sketch I just do gestures studies and it makes it it makes my whole sketch book end up being kinda bland. So this way it's interesting plus like I work from messages so that way I learn about different things to draw. I guess I should probably do more people but I'm working with technic color markers and they're all bright and colorful. It's hard to I did not do great in colorful things so I end up looking for like fishes and plants to draw cos I'm get tend to be colorful and I've tried drawing a person and it just came up weird I guess I could bring others to play then like use my pen and get it to work for me. Maybe that will be goal after I complete my next one. I don't know ok, so there's me rambling for a while. I will ramble more in the future I don't know if you'll wanna listen to it but I'll do it anyway. Alright goodbye” Auto-Transcribed Voice Post - spoken through SpinVox |

Well, since I posted all that about the film stuff . . .
Aug. 10th, 2008 | 07:35 pm
Because when you compare different versions of the same songs, it sounds like they've made a lot of them more mainstreamy?
And then it seems like all of the music they're promoting doesn't seem to be so opera-y as a lot of the original stuff.
So you can hear some excerpts of the old stage play songs here:REPO! Stage play music clips
clips include:
zydrate anatomy, thankless job, infected, chromaggia's lament (Sarah Brightman will be going for this, I hope it's good! It sounds pretty!), and gold.
So a few of those songs are less "rock" and more "opera." I wonder if they'll keep that?
I kinda wonder if not though- Cuz I was listening to this Blame Not My Cheeks clip ("WARNING! EXTREMELY CHEESY!" it says on the site) and that's the character Paris Hilton's playing . . . Can she do this with her voice, even?
And then there's this BRAVI! BRAVI! BRAVISIME! clip from the stageplay as well . . . Can the guys in the movie do this?
(I think that may be paris hilton's character (ms. sweet) at the end of that too. Is the part designed for that kind of voice? I kinda think that the character is designed to not be one of the ideal singers, so if Paris couldn't pull it off, it would fit at least for her character. :P)
"Bravi!" and "Blame Not My Cheeks" are listed on the Song List at the film's site, so I guess they'll all be going for it?
It'll be interesting . . .
. . . Oh god, the suspense! :P
(I hope there will be more opportunity to know more about the stage play on the DVD or something?)
. . . I'm such a nerd. :P

You know I'm just going to keep updating about this shit until the movie comes out, eh?
So . . . You can listen to a lot of the REPO! music on their myspace page! I've been listening to those nonstop. Anyway, I think a couple of the songs on the rare promo CD have been put on Youtube? Cuz I dunno where else they're coming from . . .
Anyway, here's a list of the available songs from the 2008 film I'm seeing so far:
•17: available on official site, with VIDEO. (shilo wallace/alexa vega, nathan wallace/anthony stewart head.) *** Video also includes Joan Jett cameo :)
•21st Century Cure: available on myspace page. (graverobber/terrance zdunich)
•At The Opera Tonight: available on myspace page. used for teaser trailer VIDEO. (shilo wallace/alexa vega, blind mag/sarah brightman, nathan wallace/anthony stewart head, amber sweet/paris hilton, graverobber/terrance zdunich, rotti largo/paul sorvino, luigi largo/bill moseley, pavi largo/ogre)
•Chase The Morning: available on YOUTUBE (copied from promo CD?) (shilo wallace/alexa vega, blind mag/sarah brightman)
•Genetic Emancipation: available on YOUTUBE (copied from promo CD?) (shilo wallace/alexa vega)
•Night Surgeon: See below for more info***!
•Zydrate Anatomy: available on myspace page, VIDEO on official page, (shilo wallace/alexa vega, graverobber/terrance zdunich, amber sweet/paris hilton)
"Mark It Up" song has VIDEO feature available on the main site (But full version not yet available?)
Other additional song used in theatrical trailer, located on official site. (Legal assassin? Lungs and Livers? WHAT IS IT!?)
Night Surgeon is the one I've been listening to the most lately. Cuz it's made of awesome? And I'm always a sucker for the bad men in stories. And this one has 'em all, eh? :)
(available (IN BETTER QUALITY!) on REPO!'s myspace page)
( lyrics )
Heh, listing all that info out was very pleasing a relaxing for my brain. :P
But I think I still need a time out cuz I just keep getting so excited. :P
edit. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand I'm kinda sexually attracted to Paris Hilton AND Alexa Vega from that Zydrate vid. Seriously, the way Paris struts in like a little cat with two sexy manslaves. Why can't she be like that in real life ALWAYS.? And then Alexa Vega is pretty young, but 20. Which is funny cuz she looks insanely beautiful in all that dark make-up. But when my guy friends repeat the sentiment I want to go, "EW! SHE'S TOO YOUNG FOR YOU." Like it's okay in my brain for women to like girlish looks, but men should just not go there, the swine. ;) [Stay tuned for another exciting edition of Contradictions in Zas's Brain!]

This deserves its own post. (The REPO! site was recently updated if you can't tell.)
Seriously. Bill Moseley who you may recognize killing and maiming people in such movies as The Devil's Rejects and Werewolf Women of the S.S.
Nivek Ogre of Skinny Puppy/Ohgr.
And, hey, David J and Danial Ash of Bauhaus playing instruments. Along with a Rasputina member.

I mean, essentially they're the comic relief in the movie- Luigi and Pavi are the comic relief. But in a movie like REPO!, the comic relief is a murderer and a rapist . . . So you got someone like Bill Moseley coming in to don the murderer hat. And then you got someone like Ogre from Skinny Puppy, to don the rapist hat . . . They're so good. And they're so wicked, that they can do those horrible things, but yet you still find them completely funny, cuz they're complete numbskulls.

HINT: the version at the site is much better quality!

7.4.08edit. Though, boo, REPO! seems to have been pushed back to November, maybe? But only 1 week to Hellboy II. :)

I'm not posting it here anymore. So if you're watching this journal solely for fanart, defriend and move over there. (I've got some Hellboy stuff coming up soon aaaand there's this Snape picture I've been working on for awhile but it's difficult and pissing me off, ha ha. Hopefully that will be up soon too, anyway. :))
So this journal remains for my personal/original art and ramblings.
I post all my artwork publicly . . . But if you're interested in more than that, feel free to comment here and I'll add you to my journal filter. :)

annoyance. I have too many time-taking projects going on. I need a break.
solution. Start a new series of anatomical studies since I've been wanting to do that for awhile.
annoyance. It's already apparent this first exercise is going to be taking quite some time.
solution. Start a different low commitment project.
annoyance. I don't have the time to finish a full portrait- Esp if it's just a sketch that I don't care about.
solution. Makedraw some boxes on the sketch and work those to a satisfactory level.

annoBAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I need to work more with backgrounds- I didn't really learn anything from that little time-waster, ha.

I'm really trying to figure this out . . . I dunno, maybe doing some work for my sister's Gapp's Basement stuff on her site will help me accomplish what I want?
I dunno if maybe I should get into creating flash games or something, too, heh. Or one of those awesome puzzle sites? Hmm . . .
Or if there's just a way to integrate my website with other people's websites somehow- So that there's that kind of group energy to work with?
Or just to make it interact better with other things I have like deviantART or MySpace- A way to encourage traffic to jump back and forth between those accounts (which get more action) and my website. :\ That's not as cool as trying to use digital-internet media to its full capability. :P
