That girl who drew me . . .

I drew her right back!

. . . 2 months late. I'm a little slow. :P

Do I need to point out that this is fairly lazily done with little planning or pre-concept?

I probably shouldn't point out that her shoulders were bare in the ref pic- so the original flipping over and rejoining of the image totally resulted in the creation of a vagina in that lower portion of the image. Cool idea, but I would have felt like a total pervert leaving that in a picture of someone real. Ha.

As with anything. There's stuff I'd fix. And I'd probably have liked to add a middle focal image. But nothing came to mind that was both easy and simple. :P

So THAT'S what my poetry is missing. Vaginas! Lots and lots of vaginas.

Not just any vaginas, ACCIDENTAL/combinational vaginas.

"I don't know how I feel about Geneva. Gina says it's great though."

"What about VA?" "Gin and tonics make it better."

"Man, I'm not sure about this."
"Just lay there, it's okay."
"I don't know. Do we even know whose property this is? I mean --"
"Shh, it's okay. Lay."
"BEE!"
"Aaaaaaaah!"

Yeah that was really reaching .... goodnight. :p

I love the tentacles in this painting. See THIS is exactly what I was talking about. If you can do this just whipping it out you NEED to think about showing more, this is what you got your degree in. Use it. If nothing else DA WILL be happy to put your stuff up.

I've been in a few galleries. Having things go well in person isn't nearly as satisfying as doing well online. If the hanging and stuff can be done easily, I'm up for doing it . . . But for the most part you get shit up, show up to the opening, then feel kinda, "meh, is that it?"

Showing in person only benefits me as much as it would direct people toward an online presence, I think. Unless I actually sell something. But selling personal stuff is hard, ha. :D

Anyway, I'm not above taking advantage of an opportunity that comes along . . . But the whole gallery thing is not really something I feel good about striving for because I don't gain as much satisfaction through it as I do through other things, y'know?

Like what other things? I know that part of my goal as a photographer is getting published or at least getting people to see my work. I was so excited to finally be able to show people 3 pictures last year when I displayed in DA. I know it wasnt a big deal and I ended up taking one home while the model took the other 2 but still, I was ready for it. And yes this is always the possibility to sell things, many artists have in the past.

I'm more interested in online networking (with galleries and other online projects). I think it's because there's less of a social skills element. In many ways, that makes it more sincere and focused for me.

After that, I'm more interested in the entertainment realms. I think it would be amazing to work on part of a movie. I also enjoy the areas of illustration.

I'm still exploring what exactly it all is that I love.

I know people who work in the movies..I am not even kidding..I can introduce you to Skye and in turn she can introduce you to her contacts. Keep in mind we are talking about low budget movies or tv shows, but yeah...Your choice

I'm not really looking for anything new right now at all. I'm trying to hurry up and get all these past obligations out of the way so I can focus on myself for awhile. And, as I said, movies/etc is fairly secondary to digital options. Thanks though. :)

Well, I like it, even if it was fairly lazily done with little planning and originally contained unintentional vaginal imagery.
